This can be done either by spraying herbicide on the weeds or removing the weeds by hand. Dig the soil about few inches. Blend the soil with natural mulch and add organic compost to it. Adding organic compost will increase the nutrient contents in the soil while natural mulching will avoid the further growth of weeds in the garden bed.

Select the proper design for your bed. Keep a path in between the garden for walking and watering the plants. Plant the seeds in the prepared garden bed. Water them gently.
